Dr. Lucas Tisshaw uses a multifaceted approach of treatment and rehabilitation to help you move better, feel better, and live better through enhanced healing and superior performance. Dr. Tisshaw has been a competitive hockey, baseball, and basketball player for a vast majority of his life and continues to play in top level men’s hockey and baseball leagues. He is actively involved in recreational sports, is an avid cyclist, weight trains, and practices yoga. Combined with his widespread experience in sport, his extensive training in anatomy, biomechanics of the entire body, and knowledge of recognizing and diagnosing conditions of the feet, knees, hips, wrists, elbows, and shoulders, Dr. Tisshaw is an excellent choice for treatment and education for injury prevention and recovery of musculoskeletal health conditions.
Individual treatment plans combining myofascial release techniques with chiropractic joint manipulations focus towards the goal of remodeling tissue to improve healing times of joints, muscles, and ligaments. Dr. Tisshaw places an important emphasis on educating and teaching rehab exercises to engage and strengthen your core, generate new muscle fibers, and neurologically rewire healthy movements and posture, and has developed a library of functional exercises for himself, athletes, and the common baby boomer.
Dr. Tisshaw received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon. He also holds a Bachelors of Science in Human Biology. He is a member of the British Columbia Chiropractic Association, the British Columbian College of Chiropractors, and Canadian Chiropractic Association.
Dr. Tisshaw enjoys treating people from all walks of life, with the goal of enhancing his patient’s ability to live their passions with healthier and pain free activities.
Dr. Tisshaw works Monday (am), Tuesday, Friday, and Saturdays. He welcomes both new and returning patients.
