Dr. Jordana Aziz is a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, Toronto, (www.ccnm.edu) where she studied for 4 years and completed her Clinical Intern year at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic. Before embarking on Naturopathic Medicine, Jordana received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of British Colombia (www.ubc.ca) in Political Science and English Literature.
During her 4 years at CCNM, Dr. Aziz acquired further training in Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture, Intravenous Therapy, Vitamin B-12 injections, and Well Child/Well Baby visits, pediatric care and hormonal modulation in women. Whilst at CCNM, Dr. Aziz partook in a 4 month clinical externship to Parkdale Community Health, an area of Toronto’s medically underserved, as well as in a month long externship program to Nicaragua, providing medical care to those communities most underserved and in need, performing acupuncture, massage and aiding in the deliverance of Naturopathic herbal medicines.
In fact, Dr. Aziz has volunteered with 2 NGO’s in Nicaragua for a year, acting as Doctor on staff, performing gynaecological exams, consultation work, and making botanical medicines. Her interests are in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pain Management, Pediatrics and Women’s health, Allergies and Asthma, Irritable bowel disorders, Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia, Counselling, Weight loss, Nutrition and Lifestyle Counselling, Homeopathy, Fertility Acupuncture, Birth and the Birthing experience, Pre and Post natal care, Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture, Vitamin B-12 injections, Intravenous therapies (Vitamin C, Meyer’s Cocktail), and Supplementation and Botanical Medicines.
In August of 2013 Dr. Jordana Aziz joined the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine, 1 of 2 Naturopathic Schools in Canada as a Teacher, Co-ordinator of curriculum, and a Supervisor in both the teaching clinic, and the satellite clinic. In March she took 6 students down to Haiti to work with an NGO (Naturopaths without Borders www.nwb.org) to work on mobile clinics, and community health clinics.
Dr. Aziz enjoys the hiking and running in the Vancouver Sun (and rain), working globally, creating healthy eating patterns, and spending time with her two lovely children in the great outdoors.
Based on the Principles of Naturopathic Medicine, Dr. Jordana Aziz believes in re-balancing the whole person to create health; emotionally, physically, and spiritually, as well as educating and empowering her patients so that they are in control of their and their families’ health.
