Jodi Blasco graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy’s 3000 hour program, graduating in the top three in her class. Her health care training began at Douglas College where she studied biology and health sciences and completed her certificate in the Home/ Resident Care Aid Program. She left Douglas to enter nursing at BCIT, but decided to seek a health care career in massage therapy and has not looked back.
Jodi’s massage practice involves a variety of modalities such as Swedish massage, joint mobilizations, deep tissue, and trigger point, range of motion, contractile myofascial release and stretching. In addition Jodi has furthered her education in Therapeutic exercise for Lumbopelvic stabilization which is incorporated into her treatments or provided as part of home care programs.
Jodi has had the pleasure of massaging at a Whistler Grando Fondo, the Vancouver Marathon, BC Women’s Hospital, Canucks Children Hospice and Vancouver General Burns, Plastics and Trauma Unit through school outreach and volunteer programs. Outside of massage Jodi has volunteered her time to coaching elite female volleyball athletes, leading her teams to numerous provincial medals.
When Jodi is not massaging, she can most likely be found outdoors. She enjoys paddle boarding, playing volleyball, camping, snowshoeing, baking and being with friends and family.
