Aliya grew up in Vancouver and completed a Bachelor of Science at Western University in London, Ontario prior to returning home to complete her Master of Physical Therapy at UBC. She strives to help people understand and recover from their injuries using manual therapy techniques, soft tissue release and individualized exercise programs. She also places a strong emphasis on education to help patients optimize their bodies and develop their own tools to manage and prevent injuries.
Aliya is able to draw upon a wide variety of experiences to help relate to and treat her patients. These include three seasons working with the Vancouver Rowers Rugby Team, rehabilitating post-surgical patients at UBC hospital as well as a clinical internship at a rehabilitation centre in India. She continues to seek out opportunities and educational experiences to expand her understanding of the human body.
Leading and valuing an active lifestyle herself, Aliya can attest to the importance of building and maintaining mobility and strength. She is driven to help you achieve your goals and continue to pursue the activities you love.
